Our Girl novels

In this section my novels will appear in reverse chronological order of when I first publised them, so you always find the latest addition on the top.

Twenty-five Days to Christmas

cover 25 days to christmas

Molly Dawes sister, Bella, is getting married and is set on having Molly performing a duet with the bestman on the wedding. Molly reluctantly agrees, convinced the man will be a bald, midget dressed in a jumper with Christmas motive – but she is in for a huge surprise.

An A/U Christmas story evolving around a Christmas Eve wedding at a countryside hotel in seasonal fluffy spirit, including as many Our Girl characters as possibly can fit in.

Protecting Miss Dawes – a job like any other

cover bg 2

Charles James has left the army behind and is working in the Royalty and Specialist Protection Branch of London’s Metropolitan Police Service, now faced with a new challenging assignment to protect the Home Secretary, Molly Dawes. His new client intrigues him like no one has before and suddenly he finds it hard to remain within professional boundaries and refrain from becoming personally involved.

A/U cross-over with BBC’s Bodyguard – because who would not want CJ as their bodyguard?. You will not have any problem following the story even if you have not seen any of the two series.

OG characters: Molly Dawes, Captain James

All is fair in Love and War

cover all is fair 2

Captain Charles James is off for another tour to Afghanistan. As an experienced war hero, he knows to always be prepared for the unexpected, yet he finds himself knocked out of balance when his platoon is joined by a ghost from his past, in the shape of army doctor Molly Dawes. Turns out she is not the only one from the past haunting him.

This is the story following the prequel “Young love – or how it all began” letting us know what has happened to the quartet of friends and enemies later in life. The setting will be familiar, but as the past was different, so will the future be for the characters we know and love.

OG characters: Molly Dawes, Captain James, Elvis Harte, Bones

A suitable companion

cover a suitable 2

Captain Charles James is wheel-chair bound after an accident during a military training exercise and reluctantly seeks assistance. Molly Dawes is a bit lost in life and despite that she is not looking for a job she suddenly finds herself employed by the distant, yet attractive officer. Will the two let each other in enough to be able to help one another?

The start of this A/U Our Girl fanfic is inspired by Jojo Moyes’ book “Me before you” but then straying far from the plot of the book.

My own favourite of the stories I have written to date and definitely the most personal one.

A Suitable Companion – Chapter 23: Permission

This is chapter 23 of ‘A suitable companion’, this version published separate from the rest of the story because it is M-rated for smut (which the rest is not). If you read this chapter without having read the rest of the story first, it is a major spoiler, so you may wish to read the rest first – just saying. Mature readers please.

She didn’t see it coming

cover she didnt see

A Bones & Georgie story. Are we really sure that Bones died? If you were just starting to warm up to Bones when he was killed off this is the story for you. And if you didn’t like him – maybe you will.

For those of you who prefer Charles & Molly, they are there too but not the protagonists of this story.

This was my.very first fanfic, triggered by being miffed over Bones death. It was updated in May 2019; two full chapters added, all chapters edited so story now is some 100 pages longer.

OG characters: Georgie Lane, Bones, Captain James, Molly Dawes, Elvis Harte, 2 section, Georgie’s family
